Bubur lambuk giveaway ramadan 2025: A community United in charity and compassion

In the spirit of Ramadan, the UCSI University Sarawak Campus community demonstrated heartfelt solidarity and charity during the Bubur Lambuk Giveaway Ramadan 2025, held on 22 March 2025. This special initiative provided Bubur Lambuk, a traditional Iftar meal, to the villagers of Kampung Tabuan Melayu, Kuching. The event was a collaboration spearheaded by the university’s Student Affairs & Alumni, Student Board, and the Gastronomy Enterprise Club (GEC), in partnership with the Regional Centre of Expertise Kuching (RCE Kuching), AADK Daerah Kuching, and SKUAD Antidadah Kuching. Their collective efforts not only aimed to foster communal spirit but also highlighted critical social issues like drug prevention and rehabilitation, underscoring the power of partnerships in creating a healthier society.

As part of UCSI University’s community outreach efforts, the event combined volunteerism with hands-on culinary training for students. Mr. Amzah Bin Haji Dollah, the Penghulu of Kampung Tabuan Melayu, expressed his gratitude for the initiative and shared hopes for future activities that would further benefit the community, such as entrepreneurship workshops, cultural enrichment programs, and educational skill development.

The Bubur Lambuk, an iconic Ramadan dish symbolizing unity and tradition, carries deeper significance during events like this. It fosters togetherness while promoting healthier lifestyles among the community.

Aligned with the university’s core values of integrity, humility, and excellence, and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such events ensure that students go beyond acts of charity to internalize values of compassion and ethical leadership. By participating in initiatives like these, students are prepared to become changemakers who strive for positive impact, both within their communities and on a global scale. The Bubur Lambuk Giveaway Ramadan 2025 exemplifies how collective action and shared values can strengthen community bonds and inspire sustainable, meaningful change.
